KMPlayer, it plays anything you throw at it (even mkv, flv - youtube videos - no need to convert!, 3gp, mp4, ogg, flac, VCD, DVD, OGM, MPEG-1/2/4, RealMedia, QuickTime...), it works smoothly, I can't believe nobody mentioned it here yet, it is the only player I use, AND it doesn't need codecs, it has its own built-in. Simply put it is the best player EVER. And it's FREE! link
