This is one of the first things I wanted, was scared I would somehow erase wifes botw save.
I really hope it makes it into the CFW as a feature and gets a native looking UI
Nintendo should have had that features already built-in... blahblahblah because of protecting the console, but on the PS4 is also a gaming console and let us put a USB pen drive and backup saves.

Awwww yes! Finally Backup Saves. I think everyone who lost someday a savegame will know how this can hurt. It's just a "game" but when you put hours over hours in it and its lost. This is really not a good feeling.
I really hope it is not a solution to cheat in mulitplayer or competetive games... you know like export save, edit it, import and here you go "mega super stats"
now this is definitely a needed feature that the switch doesn't have, just hope a jailbreak will be on 5.xx firmware

If anyone is able to get Switch homebrew to connect to the net and download/upload files I'll build a website to store people's save data that can have requests sent to it and have the data uploaded/downloaded. So nobody ever needs to lose their save data, and sharing is easier.
You mean wont. Nintendo can do this, hell they let us do it on the Wii when it launched, but this was also the biggest entry point Nintendo left for hacking and it was quickly exploited via the Twilight hack and, well the rest is history.
Its humorous how hacking is likely the reason Nintendo hasn't implemented a means to backup saves on the Switch, yet it's hacking that has first led to our ability to do so on the Switch. Still I'm hopeful that when Nintendo officially launches their online services that cloud saves will be a part of the service, that seems like the only way it might officially happen, definitely not through our micro sd cards.
I use Checkpoint almost all the time on my 3DS, which means I have really high hopes for Checkpoint on the Switch. I assume the big white square on the side will be where the icon of the selected game is displayed(if it's possible)?
