Foul language in old Famicom Magazine ???

I saw this auction on ebay for an old Famicom magazine. The seller has some pics of the magazine showing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! I was surprised to see this picture. Do you think this is actually what the magazine printed, or did someone write that in?

From the look of the writing it looks pretty fake. Kinda looks like someone wrote it.

true but I don't know about the yellow speech bubble - if it was drawn, surely you would see the red of the explosion behind? In which case I wouldn't understand why a mag would leave a speech bubble empty.

If it wasn't for the yellow box I would say it was fake. The writing looks fishy as does the outline of the bubble but theres no way someone drew that yellow bubble and managed to cover the red without it bleeding through.

proly real and coming from Japan thats no shock. They proly had no clue what "fuck you" meant.

Also if anyone has an FDS image collection go play that Patton Kun (or whatever it is called) tank game and check out what it says when the disc side change screen comes up.

I'm still regreting the day I went to my local game store and there was 2 versions of punchout for sale. One WITH Mike Tyson and one WITHOUT Mike Tyson. I went for the version without Tyson for some reason.

The Tyson versions more common but the non Tyson version isn't rare. I have a non Tyson version as well as the less common Yellow label version of Metroid. Neither are valuable.

Judging from that store pic you posted, I'll have to agree with you that they probably didnt know what the hell FUCK YOU means in America. I'd say the ad is real
