FSPDS is a homebrew app that allows DSi flipnotes playback on any DS console, via flashcard or custom firmware. This was a nice project to work on, and I'm happy to share it with the world.

Main features:

- can load flipnotes from any path on the SD card
- can view details like flipnote authors and date
- the player has useful features like pause/resume, auto replay, screen saver, shuffle options and previous/next navigation

Is there a way to download flipnotes from Sudomemo in bulk? I'd love to browse a bunch of them on real hardware. This would be the best place to get the Flipnotes, but having to download them one by one kind of defeats the point.

There's probably a good reason for which some flipnote share services don't allow direct access to ppm files from their web clients, providing at most the feature to download them in a converted version to a common media format. A workaround that may work is using the DSi's API urls with the correct settings instead of the http version of the site (I'm no expert in web development, but it should be something related to the stuff you have to change in the wifi settings in order to "replace" Flipnote Hatena) and list the flipnotes directly from there. However, this looks difficult to put in practice, also considering the lack of documentation on the subject (to my knowledge). It's worth to mention that doing so might conflict with the site's rules since they may want to protect/restrict the hosted content in some way or prevent any security disasters like a DDOS attack potentially caused by downloading tons of flipnote files. Sudomemo actually forbids "Access to our Flipnote services via means other than official Nintendo hardware designed to run DSiWare". Your reliable option is whether waiting for someone to post their flipnote collections on social media or some drive service, or finding a more restrictions-relaxed server (that hopefully isn't down yet) which has a "Download as PPM" option.

If there's a hole in my reasoning or someone has found a way to solve this, I'd also like to know. After all, who doesn't want a great source of flipnotes to explore? :)

Amazing work from these people. This is better than PBSDS' flipnote player.

I would consider this a feature ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"Not a bug, but a feature."
If it isn't broke, don't fix it. :rofl2:

I tried making chocolate lava cakes the other day in cupcake pan, what a mess, my lava exploded out of the cakes everywhere while baking, was still ok tho, just no lava inside.

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

I used butter instead of vegetable oil, and think that's why they squirted out during baking, who knows
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah i think oil is the right call

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.

sorry, idk what you mean by a space cake, and even if i did, i'm not really taking requests right now, because otherwise people will get mad at me for taking a request but not making a birthday cake for @Xdqwerty (i'm sorry for that btw bro)
