Hey, I'm organizing a tech event called GambiConf - and it fits very well with the GBAtemp community!

It's a place I always desired: where you can share your outside-the-box pet projects and hear how other folks developed crazy projects, as well as learn mind-blowing topics about computers.
If you made a ROM hacking tool, made a general reverse engineering project, or made an emulator, etc., feel free to submit your talk on the CFP!

The event has two formats:
- on the 3rd of September, it'll be in person in Lisbon, Portugal
- on the 10th of September, it'll be only online
We'll have free streaming for both days. Talks are always in English.

Some examples from the previous edition (this one was in Portuguese):

More detail here: https://gambiconf.dev/

Feel free to ask me anything.

Like assambly code?
Yeah. The talk can have assembly code (but not necessarily be about assembly itself).

In the previous edition, we had two talks related to low-level (in Portuguese):
- Segfault as Optimization
- Let's be creative with emulators

In the first one, the speaker showed some assembly code to explain in more detail the optimization:

Interesting. Do you also discuss the subject on developing for unusual plattforms as well as experimental work?
Yeah. It's the reason why I'm posting it here.
GambiConf is a good event to give a talk about developing on an unusual platform.

In the previous edition we had talks about it, for example, this talk, about developing physic games using old emulators:

Nice!

I am currently developing a game that is suppost to run on this forum. The idea is to have the users execute the commands. This could be achieved by designing the forum rules as well as the reward system, to incentivise or force a certain behavior. I am open for other ways to achieve this goal. The long term goal would be that the forum brings its users to breed a certain strain that is evolutionary adapted to further reproduce and serve the forum as a slavelifeform. Would that something you could help me with?

Do you mean if I can help you to help you to code it? If it's your question, I'm already too busy organizing this tech event, then I won't be able to help you. Sorry.
I mean help in any way really. Its a revolutionary concept and its in its very early stage.
