WiiGator said:
If I activate support for dual layer discs, the Wii will detect a modchip for newer games. If you make SSBB smaller, you can use it.

Star wars is also working for PAL, my report before seems to be wrong, because the error was caused by a burn media issue.

I don't know if Okami will work, but I think it will not work in the next release. I am getting to a point where I need to know, which IOS is used. You can use the tool which I posted on page 6. I need the IOS number of the large game partition with the correct disc id of the game.

So as you can see wiigator now needs us to start a list of game ids and ios used.
Here are links to the program he references. which can actually be found on page 5 of the beta .3 blog comments.
Like extract partition, you will need the keys and the root certificate.
Just do a google search for the following as posting a link is against forum rules for these files.
common-key,root-key Hints... Extract partition and backup creator had/needed one, the other is _NOT_ linked in someones sig......
Source - From Wiigator
Windows Binary - Compiled by Sara-Chan

Wiki Page
Remember to pull the info from the actual game partition not the update partition (looks like the update partitions run off of ios4, will update if i see a different ios used on an update partition) Example from de blob now included.
Note you do NOT need to list the version (pal ntsc or jap as it is listed as the last letter of the title id. E P or J)

Title id: R6BE
Group id: 78
Name: Blob07

the tool is not working for me, all the .iso's brings the same ID: 0001000000555044 UPD and the IOS4, I'm runing it thru start/run/cmd/D:/wiidiscinfo.exe ****.iso (intro), am I right??

EDIT: How do I run it from the game partition??? I just saw what you write, lol

i opened the command prompt and ran it there. make sure to put the adress in quotes..
wiidiscinfo.exe "c:\wii\isoname.iso"
or you can copy the iso to the same directory and cheat and use open with.... but the iso must be in the same directory
Should have been more specific adding an example output from de blob to my original post as well....

Look below that one, it will list both partitions seperatly

Ohh it doesn't open the partition 1, after the 3rd "cheking sig by root..." says "cannot open root-key: no such file or directory" where do I get that file??

Can't post them as they arent legal.... so do a google search for them...
hint one was needed for the backup creator and partition extractor.... and the other is in WIU on maxconsole.
Leave it to me to start a topic and forget pertinent info. i shall edit the main post. my apologies.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but ARE YOU SURE that he didn't just mean he wanted that information for Okami only?... After all why would he need it for games that are already working perfectly?

The information will prove usefull to him either way. If they plan on patching IOS's on the fly in the future, or even if they dont, it can help with tracking down bugs between games. example say all games that use ios10 don't work, then we know ios10 most likely needs looking at to get said games running. or if all but one game on ios10 works then odds are the code keeping the game from working is in the loader not the ios code. having a list of game ids and the ios they use easily referenced is bound to be a huge help to anyone working on loaders or anything related to the IOS's

Ether2802.. I planned to make a wiki for it tomorrow or the next day if we get a good response.
People may be too busy testing the newest build of softchip to see the point in doing this, despite possible future payoff. You never can tell around here.

Ok fair enough, i understand now that it could have some good uses, even if not at this immediate time.

I hope someone also takes the responsibility of adding information from this thread into the wiibrew wiki. I think it's a better place to collate all the information.

not a bad idea OSW if we get a good response ill start a wiki here and look into adding to the one there, we arent collecting update info or group id etc so they may not want it in there incomplete

Ehm...by the way...root-key is legal, I think, since it is distributed by Twiizers here: http://hackmii.com/2008/04/keys-keys-keys/
