Homebrew Gamepad not working in No$GBA

I have the emulator running as good as it possibly can right now and I'd love to be able to actually PLAY something, but my input isn't being detected.
I'm using a wired 360 controller with Xpadder, I have the profile set up to No$GBA's defaults but it doesn't do anything.

However No$GBA detects the keys when it's from the keyboard, and Xpadder runs perfectly in everything else.

Any ideas?

Why is Xpadder actually needed?
You can configure the pad directly within NO$GBA, at least with version 2.6a.

Or am I missing something?

No$GBA can't detect the L/R triggers, you COULD use LB/RB but it just doesn't feel right.
Besides that I use Xpadder for all my other games so I'd like to have consistency >_>
