1. IOS250 is a stub on 4.2
2. not patched IOS won't allow to delete other IOS anyways


And IOS wads are illegal to share

I always thought SoftChip was the loader for people who know more, but you use the 002 fix...

If you want to reupload/modify your package/guide, please remove the hackmii installer and bannerbomb (unless you gain permission from the authors, which is probably not gonna happen sorry).

Please instead direct people to their respective official pages.

i had to use a sd formatted as fat16. it acted like it wanted to work as fat32 but wouldnt. i used PNY 4gb sdhc hd fat16. do yourself a favor and install priiloader afterward and make a back up of your nand.

I've done all the steps that are here, it all worked great, xept for the softchip loader. i'm using 4.2u.
Is there a step missing to explain how to get softchip loader to run correctly ? it keeps giving me an error message something about. di_read or something.
i've used other loaders too and none work, so i'm guessing i'm missing the cios to run games ?

And solved it myself with solution from this forum:

Removing Stub IOSs
You only need to do this step if you did an official update to 4.2. Any other systems will not have any stubs installed!
If you exited out of DOP-Mii, boot it again and press A to get to the Main menu.
Now choose the Top option (IOS: 36) and press A.
You will see another menu. Here, choose the top option again (IOS, BC, MIOS). You will see yet another menu.

* Go right to IOS202. Press - to uninstall it. Press A to confirm.
* Repeat this for IOS222, 223, 249 and 250.

Tried cIOS after this and woot, succes. Now enjoying freedom on the Wii. Now I can try out games without paying and only buy stuff that is worth it. But keep buying the Wii titles, good games deserve to be paid for.
