HaxxStation: DS Download Station exploit

13 years.

The original DS was released in 2004, and to this day, no hax for Download Play had been made.

Until now.

Gericom found an exploit in DS Download Station, allowing us to run any homebrew we'd like over DS download play.

Source code for dspatch: https://github.com/Gericom/dspatch

Enjoy!

And if you want to load unsupported flashcarts on a DSi:

Yes.
Here's Apache Thunder's flashcard launchers edited for HaxxStation. @shutterbug2000 should put this in the first post.

Well i been out of the homebrew loop for NDS for so long, is there any way to load homebrew from DSI using sd slot? Last i heard was sudokuhax which i never had.
AFAIK there is no way to exploit the dsi without a lower FW and specific DSi titles installed. So if you don't have both of those you are SOL. I wish there was a way because I have an old DSi I don't use at all that I would love to mup about with.

@shutterbug2000 and @Robz8 do have an exploitable dsiware game afaik, but decided to release this instead.

I'm sorry to ask, but I'm still confused of how to get this running. I ran dspatch.exe, and i got this. I have already downloaded "Download Station Volume 1".

Try this .cmd file.
Name your "Download Station Volume 1" ROM "DStation.nds". Drag and drop your homebrew .nds file onto the .cmd file.

can we run backup loaders? does it work with dsi?
I would like to mention that the DS on has 4MB of onboard RAM. So an actual full game won't be possible to run from RAM like a small download play game/homebrew

@shutterbug2000 hey! What did you use to get the 7 grand dad nds file specifically on the ds? Is there a ton somewhere on the web or was it custom-made?
Edit: not asking for anything ToS violating, but if you used a program to make it I would like to know the program. If not, I'm sure google is my friend

Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
