Hello! I'm trying to play 3852 - Majo ni Naru (Japan) because it seems like such a cute game and good for Japanese practise, but I've been having trouble with it. There is a bad dump of the game out there, but this seems unrelated (the issues also exist in the English version, 4980 - Witch's Wish).

On DeSmuME, the screen and shadows blink, making it pretty unplayable. I also tried it on two flashcards, one using YsMenu and one moonshell, but both have a problem where the sound seems to bug out at random points- see video. This isn't unplayable, but it's a huge shame to have to mute a game with voice acting when the whole point of playing is language accquistion.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or if there's somewhere else I should be reporting this issue?

I've been messing around with this game for days now with no luck (even bought the second card to see if that was the issue), so I'd really appreciate the advice. Would buy the original if I could but shipping from Japan to where I live is criminal

Thank you!!!

I solved it! I was having some issues with another game crashing, and when I looked into it some people were talking about checking the SD card speed, and lo and behold, the cheap card that came with the cheap flashcart I bought was, well... cheap :rofl2:

I was having a lot of problems with it anyway and kept getting "load rom errcode=-1" when a new game was added that could only be fixed by reforming the card and trying again, turns out it was just a load of :shit: I got a proper, branded card and this, as well as the other game, now seem to be working. Yahoo :yaynds: (Posting in case anyone finds themselves with a similar issue. Lesson learnt!)

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.

    Like a 1 wire mod?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Still two wire with resistor if you don't count the 7 wire pc probes cause hardware likes a good probing

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
2 wires left on motherboard, 7 temp soldered to a flasher, then removed after flashed
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Technically don't even have to remove it could just keep it on
