I've never had a gamecube, so I don't know much about it, but I saw the video using a GC action replay and an SD card adapter. Does anyone know a place I can find instructions how to make emulators work? Also, does only Snes9x work or can you use Gens, FCEU/Nesticle, etc? It would definitely save some money on the VC......

Also, can you play with the classic controller or only the GCN controller?

I've had experiance with it, and its a great program. Does exactly what it promises. I would say, for the 50$ it may cost for the hardware, if your a fan of classic games, buy it.

You have to use the SDLoad feature of the GameCube Action Replay to launch homebrews such as Snes9x

What's SNES9x like on the cube? I heard someone say it was pretty rubbish, but it was some guy on a vannilla nintendo forum where it's assumed anything piratey is rubbish, breaks your machine and makes baby jesus cry.

Personally, never having purchased the Gamecube but now owning a Wii, I decided to get the necessary hardware anyhow (AR, SD Gecko, SD card reader, some GC Memcards) simply because potential future Wii hacks may require some of those anyway. But regardless, I am a huge fan of homebrew and emulation so its worthwhile

    @Xdqwerty, So old-skool.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Yea ps3HEN is fine, don't mess with what's not broken. The HEN version irc is for the super Slims, and CFW (evilnat) for other models
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, also what are the differences with ps3hen and evilnat?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    They both basically do the same
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:

    @SylverReZ,
    @BigOnYa ok i read that the super slim model (the one i have) isnt compatible with cfw and that "HEN is the next best thing, it is a semi jailbreak applied on top of the OFW system software, it is geared towards console models that aren't CFW compatible, you can run homebrew, play backups but you cannot use customised system files & must reapply your customisations & HEN after every boot."
