With a Kreon drive or a 360 drive hooked up to a X360 USB pro v2/X360 USB Pro & Connectivity kit.
And to rip the discs, you'll need to use Xbox Backup Creator.

I picked up a Benq 0800 from ebay. When I plug it into my Windows 7 machine it fails to install. Is there a trick to make it work?

Windows normally shouldn't mount it..

How did you power it?
Sure the drive is receiving power?
Eject etc works (if you got a 360 USB Pro)
Sata cable not faulty?

The drive has power. I am able to get the tray to open and close. I'm using a SATA to USB adapter which I've used on other HDD without issue. I thought windows had to mount it in order to be able to use it. I will load up Xbox Backup Creator and see what happens.

Thanks Dinoh, I ordered a x360 usb pro. Turns out the benq drive I picked up had a bad flash. I flashed it again with 0800, and it works fine now. I finally was able to rip one of my games. It will be nice to not have to use disks anymore.

I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start

But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
