So I wanted to make a ds rom that when you open it is a rickroll. But I searched the internet and I could not find a way to convert dpg files to nds roms or how to play dpg files on desmume. So I need some help doing this before April, all help is appreciated.

If it is desmume then it does allow you to fake a DLDI setup and point it at a directory or something.

If you want a standalone thing or one that will work on a flash cart as well then FCSR (short for flash cart S RAM) will allow you to append a suitable FAT image to the file and have it read directly from the file.
Making a FAT image is about as annoying as it sounds on Windows but there was a tool once called DLDIRC (dldi right click) that did allow such a thing.
