Thanks dynamite for making the guide, you also pronounced my name right. I think it could be a router problem. Do I need to enable port 21 on my router? Can you clarfiy what you typed ftp://192.xx.x.x.xx:21?
To be honest mate, i don't know i don't use a router, i use a Nintendo wifi connector modified as a usb router, for my wii and lasses laptop, so you could try altering ports.....just keep testing.....
anyway, i just put it for the first time.....
ftp:192.168.0.9 and worked immediately.......i didn't know about using explorer, it's really good, thanx Robiul, NICE TIP!
like i said, 0.18 is really stable, i copied over 6gb or more worth of crap last night to test it.....as you can see, all my crap on FTPii mounts perfect

Very nice work afif95!!!!
It's very newbie proof....
And you brought a new feature to light that I was unaware of... You can dump your discs with ftpii... Nice....
I'm gonna have to research the speeds on this....

-Kitt050383

Personally I like using my USBGecko device to rip my Wii discs.... only takes about 2hrs...

Bold 1 : I haven't confirmed this yet lol. Just stating the feature.

I, too, am using version 0.0.15 . I don't think that I'll update for the time being.

Has this been confirmed yet? and if so what sort of transfer speeds can we get?

Thanks

It's been confirmed by a lot of people here!

But still, I believe you should still use Waninkoko's DVD Dumper. Been hearing that the DVD dumper function in FTPii is still beta, but hey, I'm still using 0.0.15, who am I to judge?

You do not need to enter the port number if you are using ftpii. I figured this out trying those command lines on the previous page. It was telling me there was no port, even though the wii is saying there is. Hope this helps anyone. Also, you need to use passive mode because if you don't, it will say their was an error during the connection.

I'm trying to get some Infos here, in the "Official-Thread"
smile.gif
. I'm using FTPii 0.0.18, it works and is stable. Now, I have some questions about the Dumping-Ability...

1)In the WOD-Folder (where the Disc is), I get always a .img-File. Someone said it's normal. Is it realy normal? Shouldn't there be an .iso-File?
2)Also some people said you can browse through the Wii-discs with FTPii? I always only see the .img-File...

Can anybody help me (again

)? many Thanks in Advance!!!

Hmm.. I believe you should have DVDX installed first. Done that?

Ask somewhere else, or wait for me to test 0.0.18

If I wouldn't have DVDX, the WOD-Folder wouldn't even appear. I have DVDX, libid, Patchmii, etc..the whole package

. So I guess I'll wait until you test it...

.

P.s: No, 0.0.18 doesn't bite
