Homebrew How to get Sonic 3 & Knuckles to work on jEnesisDS

Please do not ask for ROMs here, as it's against the rules.
You should patch your existing ROM using the patch from the first post.
Necroing this a bit as i saw some legality problems with these patches for JenesisDS so here is an alterate version that is shaved down to simply a patch that trim's and save fixes its a lot smaller .bps file based on the two .ips files above that trim/savfix's.. Patch now based on Sonic And Knuckles & Sonic 3 version of the rom so as it doesn't contain a portion of the Sonic 3 dump or any copyright code as beat patches are delta mode shifting data without recording copyright code.
Also will work on the Steam Version (Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin) use (beat) or see P.S. section - BUY THE GAME IT IS CHEAP if you own a PC!

Use these two tools to apply patches:
Floating IPS: For .ips and beat .bps patches (Open then click Settings->Assign File types - The easiest patcher to use as it lets you choose your file name you would like your patched copy of the rom saved to)

beat (patcher): For .bps files difference is it will still output a file even if the .bps file was not intended for that specific game but one compatable with it.

Steam Version: Apply the regular .bps file that you would apply to clean Sonic 3 Kuckles rom to Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin (beat) patcher (as patch was based on clean image so FLIPS wont work)
Knuckles & Tails: Apply the regular .bps file that you would with (beat) patcher (as patch was based on clean image so FLIPS wont work)

Wanted - Good Verified Versions From Steam: (Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin) - Now you can use xdelta patches on these!

Wasted my time trying to get two other hacks based on Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 working just ended up cutting out levels when trimmed and definately no possilble way for Sonic 3 Complete without some heavy editing!
Minor Tutorial for Good Verified Versions From Steam:
Use HxD: (Search->Goto)

If you would really like a Clean [Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 (W) [!]] : all you have to do is change one hex value, open up a hex editor and Goto given offset and change - hex: [offset:#2001f0 - #4a - J] to [offset#2001f0 to #55 - U] setting the game to (U) United States instead of (J) Japan, that is the only differnce in the Steam version for some reason the Sonic 3 part is set to (J) for Japan at that given offset.
Also if you really want a proper [Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (U) [!]] dump from the Steam version (Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin) Simply change the hex values as above setting the game to [(U) United States instead of (J) Japan] and delete [offset:#200000] everything above that offset to trim the first half (2mb) containing Sonic & Knuckles with it locked on.
Or do the opposite for [Sonic and Knuckles (W) [!]] Goto: [offset:#1FFFFF] and select eveything below it and delete (2mb) ending up cutting out Sonic 3 and just giving you a clean [Sonic and Knuckles (W) [!]] version.
I decided to make the P.S. section into simple little patches which just does the work for you for the Steam version of (Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin 4mb) Just download [Steam legal existing data patches Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.zip] considering - Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 is just - Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (2mb) pasted on top of - Sonic and Knuckles (2mb) making (4mb)
