Hi,
I wanted to write hbc apps, but I have no program to program, just little knowledge about hacking and installing wads and so on. I wanted to ask for a tutorial "how to write programs for the hbc". Please with the program with which it is written.

Thanks for your help

Do you have any C programming knowledge? If not, just learn the basics on a computer first before trying to work on systems like wii.

We´re leaning C in school does it range?
I learned a bit on myself too (the basics).

1st at the tut "Now, browse to the helloworld folder. There should be a helloworld.dol file here now."
There is just the project data (but I can save it as one).

2nd Run the hellworld.dol in an emulator.
Why should I run it? I havent wrote anything.

3rd Set the environment variable WIILOAD to something like "tcp:192.168.0.30" (replace the IP with your Wii's IP). This can be done via Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables. Then restart windows.

Where should I replace it?

And thats not a real tut I wanted a site where I can learn it something like this:

http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/

And Wii programming is different.
I wanna learn programming apps like NeoGamma or emulators.

I´m using and learning Programmer´s Notepad (devkitPPC)
But whatever I write it always says:

QUOTE said:
> "make" run
wiiload Dokumente und Cengiz-Han wii_template.dol
wiiload v0.5
coded by dhewg, #wiidev efnet

set the environment variable WIILOAD to a valid destination.

examples:
usbgecko mode:
set WIILOAD=COM4

tcp mode:
set WIILOAD=tcp:wii
set WIILOAD=tcp:192.168.0.30

usage:
c:\devkitPro\devkitPPC\bin\wiiload.exe

"make": *** [run] Error 1

> Process Exit Code: 2
> Time Taken: 00:00

I copied the text from this page and it doesn´t works.
I copied the wiiload.exe file from here:

http://bootmii.org/download/

(HackMii Installer v0.6)

Does anyone know where the problem is?
I googled a bit but I haven´t found anything.

some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high
like come on 60 for a game thats a decade old??)

@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
