I was modding my n3ds xl jap, following this tutorial

“How to Homebrew your NEW 3DS/2DS JAPAN to US Region | 2023 Mod Guide for 11.17

Firmware Update“

14:25 is where I messed up. I accidentally booted into the home menu instead of god mode 9 and the “ SD CARD ( no label ) didn’t show up, after turning off my 3ds and plugging the sd card back into my pc it corrupted and I tried to redo the steps but they weren’t replicable cause I had already done half the mod. What do I do from here? Is there any saving it ?

DON'T follow video guides at all. They are most of the time in-accurate and can cause havoc if something goes wrong. Use https://3ds.guide as a proper source.

@realtimesave Can you sew it back together? Or is it not worth trying.

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
I'm a few miles away from the salt water

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
ya I would garage it if there was room in the garage for a car :|

    Like a 1 wire mod?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Still two wire with resistor if you don't count the 7 wire pc probes cause hardware likes a good probing

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
2 wires left on motherboard, 7 temp soldered to a flasher, then removed after flashed
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Technically don't even have to remove it could just keep it on
