Well I don't use modchips,but I will admit to pirating VC&WW titles,and obviously using the Hombrew Channel for Snes9x.

It's hackable. Just hasn't been hacked yet.

A cat can be successfully bred with wings. It just hasn't been done yet.

EDIT: And yes. I got it on launch day. There were no hacks on launch day.

Back then, Wii Tennis felt like magic. Of course, now I know different, as it annoys the hell out of me when someone asks to play Wii Sports.

Anyway, this whole hackable stuff is just a bonus, an awesome unexpected bonus.

I was one of those people who payed extra on ebay to get one a few days after launch day.
I had saw stuff like the wiininja and thought about using it when it came out, then i had a friend install a Wiikey later.

Mostly for SM Galaxy and SMB: Lost levels (less controller lag then PC emus and no teering).
But also so I get a nice 2 in 1 concept, and can get rid of my GC.

Even if SMG is only low rez 480p, it still makes most of the other consoles 720p/1080p games look grey, boring and repeating.

bought it on launch. I never even intended to mod it, but after wiinja released I realized that it's better to mod wii since it was just overpriced gamecube imo (after all wii sports fancyness died ;D). Also bought ps3 while knowing that it can't be modded.
