For the people that this did help I'm glad. Now for samusaran. never use the real updater. YOU ONLY need to use ios downgrader if you lost HBC completely and have FAKE ios signed. If your wii is newly modded, you should just have to use the basic bannerbomb and the bootmii from hack installer 0.05.

if u do have fake ios signed and bootmi (the file inside hacker installer 0.05) just install use a different versions of bannerbomb from the website.

As you can get from that, I seem to be having weird freezing issues with the IOS downgrader, and my controller is unresponsive in Wad Manager. Did I do something wrong? Could the addition of both Waninkoko's patch and the legit 4.2 cause come major problem? If so, do I just have to wait until 4.3 to repatch this?

EDIT: NOW I understand the advice. No, my Bannerbomb is freezing AFTER I get the popup and click to load the dol file. It works fine for Bootmii (minus the fact that Bootmii won't install due to fake signed IOS) and Loadmii, but it doesn't work for DOP-IOS or IOS Downgrader, and even when tying through Loadmii, it seems to freezde when loading the dol.

ios downgrader from what i read wont work on LUA64+, that might be ur issue. I emailed you back on here (well pm'ed u). But now i see that u do have fake ios signed.... hmmm let me figure this one out.

Yeah, brick my Wii! Seriously, if the installer just wants 1 clean IOS, why install plenty IOS? And more important why install IOS that are widely known(!) to not work on new Wiis?

I did delete the hbc while cios corp was still installed! so... ios downgrader gives code dump with preloader and a black screen on banner bomb... wat do I need to do now? well I have an old wii(not an lu64) and I did rename an ios downgrader to boot.elf instead of boot.dol(it was first boot.dol)

Yeah, where do you find the IOS Downgrader that's boot.elf??? All I keep finding is .dol, and if I just change it to .elf, it gives me a black screen and it just stays there, so I have to keep pressing the start button till my Wii dies out.
Any explanation for the frozen black screen?

THANK YOU JAMIE. I was gonna say that. YOU NEED A WAD MANAGER CHANNEL!!! if you're going to do that .wad installing stuff. no HBC means no wad manager 1.4, etc.

IF ios downgrader doesn't work, use DOP IOS. that works too. The black screen is most likely you have the files not placed correctly. I got that to when i didnt have the files in the right folder and not named correctly.

Always download the newest one, it can't hurt, unless the forums say otherwise. I updated the FAQ to solve the IOS DROP issue.
