I'm trying to load GC games with Gecko/Ocarina cheat codes enabled, but the games keep on crashing. I'm using USB Loader GX and Nintendont to load the games off of an SD card. I have also tried using NeoGamma with a burned DVD+R which does work, but I would prefer loading off of an SD card. I suspect the hooktype may have something to do with it. In NeoGamma I use "GXdrawdone" which works, but I have tried all avaliable hooktypes in USB Loader GX and none work.

I have tried:
Mario Party 4 (USA) (crashes after some time)
Mario Party 6 (Widescreen Modded) (USA) (crashes immediately after the startup logos)

The codes alter certain aspects of the game (like faster board movement, disabling luck-based mini-games etc.) They were originally made for netplay using Dolphin, but I want to use them on real hardware too.

Would you be so kind to append the Cheats as .zip File.
I would take a look on it (on the US Versions) if you like.

Thank you.:)

Here you go. For Mario Party 4, make sure you have the updated v1.01 version as that is what the codes are intended to be used with.

Don't know how to fix your problem but wiiflow has built in cheats and they usually work just fine
worst case I have trouble figuring out the button combos for activating

Well, that's weird. The cheats you have for Mario Party 4 does not match the ones I enabled when creating the .gct at all. Anyways, here are the cheats in txt format.

Have you tried any of the GCT files I posted earlier? AFAIK they need to be in sd:\codes or usb:\codes depending upon where your games are located.

Thank you.:)

The Codes are in the correct Folder otherwise I get the "No Code" Error Message.

But Mario Party 6 now freezes on Startup/when the Book appears.
Honestly,my Thoughts, I do not think this works.:(

I think the Cheats for Mario Party 4 "seems" to work.I played now for 30 Minutes.

EDIT: Crashed with an White Screen after 35 Minutes.

An Explanation why the Cheats would not showed is maybe because there are no Enable/Disable Options ?

Thank you.:)

I am actually having this same issue on Mario Party 6 & 7,
I was able to get Mario Parties 4 & 5 to work in widescreen, but not 6 & 7.

curious to see if this issue ever got resolved

Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.

But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
