Hardware mod chip question?

Will modchips play burnt games that were scrubbed downloads?

if your wii has the necessary ios's the game uses ALREADY, yes.
for example, if you are on an old system menu you might need updates for certain games, and the scrubbed game wont try to update leaving you with a black screen error. If you are already on 4.2 then you probally will run all of them just fine.
most of mine are scrubbed, I just took and official update to 4.2 with NSBW ...just remember that it might break region free ....which is why I ended up hacking mine in the end. personally, mod chip is a waste of money, might as well spend the money for a usb HDD, its a lot easier.

Have a friend who has a modchip and they were asking about games and i wasn't sure if they had to be 1:1 copies with a modchip or not.

I've also used softmods so i had no clue.
