Hardware My friend's Wiimote won't connect to his Wii, but it connects

Is there anything that can be done about this? I'm not exactly sure what the cause is here.

Is it possible for the problem to be from the Wii itself?

Or is it possible that something in the room prevents connecting?

The bluetooth module might be broken on your friends WII.

Do ANY controllers connect?

Are you syncing the remotes??? AKA the Red button in the SD card slot on the WII and also the red button in the battery housing for the WIImotes??

Yes, he tried syncing. It doesn't work for him.

I had one problem with connecting a wiimote to another wii when a single player game was on the home screen. I had to exit to the main system menu for it to sync properly. I would try re-syncing all controllers assigned to your friends wii.

Bluetooth devices has a device limit of around 16 within its range. While you rarely have that many BT devices within 10 meters of each other, its a possibility that there might be other devices causing interference (this includes phones, laptops, wifi routers, mircowave oven, satellite dishes, etc). Anything that operates within the 2.4 GHz to 2.4835 GHz range.
