Ok, this might be the dumbest thing I've ever posted here, but I started thinking while reading this thread...

Would it be possible to create a forwarder IOS? Using waninkoko's code for writing DIP modules, if one was written that did nothing other than load IOS249, and installed to all of the other game IOS slots, then there would never be a need to patch any game for any reason. They would all end up running off of 249 vice whatever they were made for.

Granted the compatibility issues would need to be worked out first for dual layer discs and peripherals but... is it possible?

Have you ever heard about cIOSCORP? It's not exactly what you are writing but it does cripple your IOS almost the same way.

I was thinking about that for a while and I realize that theres not many good Gamecube games except the ones in the list below:

-Super Mario Sunshine
-Super Smash bros. Melee
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
-NBA Street V3
-Pikmin
-Mario kart Double dash
-F-Zero GX


Not sure if I'm missing any but thats all the good games I like and their all compatible with cMIOS v3. Perhaps the new cMIOS will have support for more games IMO...
