Edit: i think i know why i cant connect to anybody and they cant connect to me. its because im using ocarina cheats. Ill restart my wii and try to connect without codes.

nintendo servers really suck, They where alright yesterday before the game came out, but i keep getting d/ced today prolly since so many people are on =/.

Thanks Oreoz, I was finally able to go to his town. Couldn't connect earlier. I had to turn off the SPI Firewall setting on my router which seemed to have fixed the issue.
