Anyone have any methods on how to install the recent updated Mii Channel / Wii Shop Channels without an internet connection? (Install via Wad Manager)

If you cant supply the links, is there any way to make a current dump then extract only the Mii Channel and Wii Shop channel update contents?

I know how to dump, and then pack into wads. Download Filesystem-dumper (wii HBC app) and depending on how much stuff on your wii you have depnds how much space you need on your sd card for the apps and what not. Once dumped (might take a few minutes) Download trent foxs wad packer and use it on your SD card. It will show you all the channels you can turn into wads. Pack the one you want and youre done.

Nobody had made the shop channel wad as offline install for the shop channel is kinda pointless. But the Mii channel is handy.

I can't seem to get most homebrew to work with my internet for some reason, so i can't update shop/nintendo etc. channels, so an offline solution would be handy.

you can use those or for ntsc-users just update with waninoko's updater then downgrade
I learned that the hard way,but thats a different story.

It also fixed a problem my wii had with running gc games.

The question is for an offline solution, waninoko's would be an online solution. Thanks though.

Anyone else have the updated shopchannel, in NTSC-U wad format for offline install?

@BigOnYa well, starting with, idk which emulator should i use for switch, i got a gtx 1650, do you know which one would it better for my pc?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
The switch emulators on pc rely on your CPU mostly, and they only use a single core, so GPU not as important as a good CPU. I don't use switch emulator, but many here do, and willing to help.

@K3Nv2 do you want to chime in, don't you use yuzu or ryujinx? Which do you prefer?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Morganna I'd say try them both, and see which work better for your setup, good luck, and have fun!
  • Morganna @ Morganna:
i tried just yuzu so far, not even played, just open the game to see if it run
