Possible to use playstation/other controllers for Emulators/UWP?

Is it possible without any adapters to use playstation/switch/NSO controllers on the box series S/X?
I'm looking to get one for emulation and have a lot of controllers which i'd prefer to use.

Sorta. There is not a software solution, but you can buy an hardware adapter. The problem with the adapter is they're typically $40-50 and you need one for each controller.

If Brook makes a device for the series x, you could probably use most controllers. I own one for the ps2, and I can use a dual sense on it.
