I already changed the hdd with a new hdd that works in another PS4 unit. When I insert the new hdd and turn on the PS4, it goes directly to No hdd detected. I cannot access the safe mode. What is the problem?

Did you accidentally drop your PS4 at some point? That's really something unusual to happen.
You'd think by replacing the HDD it'd work again. Maybe check that the new HDD does work properly by doing a test on a PC.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt. -
