Depends on the kernel code for it , if it is similar to 5.55 probably the 5.5x exploit would still work, like @KiiWii said it fixes few games bug.

Personally I don't think it is already patched with this update. 6.0 is coming, I think that this one is just a rushed update to fix some critical but less common bugs

Nope.

FWIW no one is working on anything higher than 5.05 for the public.

It’s all about tools now for homebrew, not piracy.

Highly unlikely. It's something to do with bad update downloads/installation for the game.
