Hello together,

I try to install this HD-texture-pack in PCSX2:

Ratchet & Clank - Up Your Arsenal Texture Pack (SCUS-97353)

but it does not work for me :/

I install it like this way:
PCSX2 folder\textures\SCUS-97353\replacements\paste all the folders here
and enable "Load Textures"

I have already installed the HD-texture-packs for R&C1 and R&C2 and they work without any issues!

Can anyone help me?

I updated the compressed file Structure, u just need to extract it to textures folder now, try to download it again, but, i dont thinks its the issue, as u are already putting files on the right folder, i still think u are using a different version of the game that is not SCUS-97353, Try to update the emulator or change the ROM file.

It still does not work! But i already used the correct structure before..
(Yes i use the right version of the game "SCUS-97353")

The HD-texture-packs of R&C1 and R&C2 work for me. There are "DDS-Images".
In your HD-texture-pack there are "PNG-Images".

Can it help me to convert the "PNG-images" into "DDS-Images"?

i dont think i would make a difference, i picked PNG over DDS cus of file sizes, the only downside is that PNG files takes up more cpu resources to be uncompressed and presented in the emulator, but nothing that a modern-ish cpu couldn`t handle, i just cant figure out what is wrong, sorry :/

Yesterday i try to install the HD-texture-pack for Ratchet Deadlocked and it didn't work either (also PNG-Images).
So i will just try to convert the HD-texture-packs in "DDS-Images" because R&C1 and R&C2 work with it too.
It has to work somehow...

But thanks for trying to help me :)

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
