Alright. I've used this editor and this is gr8.
But i have two questions.
1. Can I add all badges with this? or do I need to use another editor?-solved
2. How do I edit my online stats? I clicked mario button and edited online stats- setted to 9001 battles /wins. (OVER 9000!)
but nothing happened.
Can someone help me w/ this?
1. No, another editor is available for this task, although none cannot give you all badges in one click.
2. Did you click on "File" then "Save"?
So, I was doing a bit of record cleaning, and afterwards clicked the "Unlock Trophy Set 1" just to see if there was a submenu, tried the same with Custom Moves. Nada.
There wasn't, so I exited the application assuming that I had to click "Save" in order for it to affect my save file.
I was mistaken.
Now I have 100 extra trophies and a bunch of custom moves I did not want. Is there any way to undo the damage?
It's easy enough to find the trophies I unlocked since they all have x99.
Also, are there any plans to allow editing of the Stadium stuff (Home-Run, Multi-Man Melee and Target Blast)?
Edit: Also my Smash time is reset. Is there any way to edit this value?
On the first post and in the very first sentence of the first post it state "This save editor does have bugs, one being that it directly modifies the save files that it opens, so make a backup of the save file before opening it with this editor." So that means some options are instant write, however most are not.
For the custom moves the address starts at 0xA4, you can zero out the 0xFF and that will reset your custom moves to zero, basically even the custom moves you gain legitimately will also be gone.
Editing the amount of trophies is easy, however subtracting all the trophies you did not earn is very difficult, without knowing the actual value before your save got written over.
I do not have any plan on adding any of the ability to change the things you have mentioned, if I am not mistaking, each scores are stored on a per individual character bases, and this may be a huge undertaking. However it does not mean never to be implemented, then again I don't know. If I do update the editor, people may wonder why I have not added Cloud Strife in the list of character record. The editor will grow again in size.
The Smash Play Time is stored at 0x628, you will have to manually edit the value in an hex editor of your choice. It is an 8-byte value, so you will also have to decipher the values for the timer. If I am not mistaking, it could be 1 equals one seconds, so convert that to hours and then convert that to hex.
Now I think I speak for everyone whom made save editors, as a general rule of thumbs, you should always keep a backup of your saves, i.e. unmodified save somewhere safe.
Wow great program, got all trophies and custom moves. Can I Make a tutorial for this on YouTube if you don't mind?
Thanks. Sure you can make a tutorial on youtube, in fact I think it would be beneficial.
