This game, in both US and EU versions, does not even start on Ace3ds+ via Wood1.62 (immediately two white screens) while it crashes at random points on two black screens during transitions using R4 Gold Pro via YSmenu.
Does it work on your flashcart? Is there perhaps an anti-piracy patch to apply? Where can I find it?
I am surprised that it doesn't even start on Ace3ds+ where usually all titles work without glitches: this is the first time a game doesn't even start here, but instead it works on YSMenu, albeit with serious flaws. Does anyone have a solution to propose? Thank you.

Wood akmenu 1.64 on
R4i Gold 3DS (r4ids.cn)
starts game normally.
Rock Band 3 (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It).nds md5sum eb47f89133e71b166d4cc9a35b05add2 sha1sum e388d786171b3262233b86467a3d25faf18dca41 sha256 d6d3c896e384539ec46a99ae15b08a9819a3b31ca0233f532303ba791314e664
So does TWiLight Menu++ on 3DS. There is no anti-piracy patch for B5RP (code of the game) included in TWL++
https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/tree/master/resources/apfix
Does not seem to need one (and AP bypass should work on Wood)

Was not able to take the punishment for more than a few seconds, so I can only say: Game boots on Wood and on TWL++ and starts tutorial on both.

Hi, how is life going? 😉 We haven't crossed paths in a while, or have we? Lately I've taken up diatonic harmonica again and am taking evening lessons to perfect my performance, and I'm devoting less time to these forums.
Wood akmenu 1.64
Strange. Tried several times with this same software on Ace3ds+ as already mentioned, but it does not start at all, I wonder why.

Was not able to take the punishment for more than a few seconds,
What punishment? Is listening to timeless 80s and 90s pop music a punishment? Yet this game is very useful for everyone because it requires assiduous and constant concentration and promotes hand/ear (hearing) coordination. For now I have replaced it with Lego Rock Band, which is very similar, works great and is just as fun.

Many possible causes of error. Bad game file (hence the checksums of my working ROM). Bad SD (hardware damage/file system corruption). Bad flashcart.
I've no idea. Try TWL++ on DSi.

That does not belong into a thread. I've closed my profile for comments and will not participate on profile messages anymore for the foreseeable future.

80s, 90s?
I've seen a similar suggestion before
Punishment means: I have the feeling for rhythm like a tree stump. I fail hard at music (or dance) games.

Goodbye for this evening.

Bad game file
I don't think so. I downloaded 2 versions from the 2 most popular roms sites.
Neither is this. A Sandisk and a Toshiba both 16 GB.
Bad flashcart.
Probably, since all recent flashcarts are equally poor compared to the original ones. But it is the only game that gives me problems on Ace3ds+ clone.
Try TWL++ on DSi.
Just what I will do. Thank you for your intervention. Otherwise another thread of mine would have remained deserted.

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
