Misc Sims 3 Key Already used, found solution on reddit, cant find how to apply it

So I found out trough reddit that if the code for an origin era copy of TS3 you can still install install and play via the disc, however they never specified how, does anyone know how?

...You put the disc in your computer's disc drive, run the installer on the disc, and play the game, same as you'd do for any physical media game... Assuming you have the actual game disc, and not just the download code.

When I Open the installer it prompts me too Open origin And use my download code, is there like an alternate installer or smth?

The code should still work on EA App (https://www.ea.com/it-it/ea-app), which is the new Origin.

It seems like if you have a post-2009 disc it requires Origin no matter what.
