Would it be possible for someone to make a mod that removes the stamina consumption? I remember seeing a mod like that for Breath of the Wild.

Alternatively if that requires too much work,
would it be possible to increase the Stamina Potion's effect from the default 3 minutes to something like 999 minutes?

EDIT:
I forgot to type about the camera controls for the button only mode. Basically I would hope that it would be possible to do a "reverse functionality" for holding down L to turn the camera. This means that you would only hold down L when you want to swing the sword. Toggling it would be the best solution though (press L once to be in camera mode for the stick, Press it again to be in the "sword mode").

Could probably be done with cheats. The original Wii version had Gecko codes for infinite stamina and hiding the meter, which greatly improved my experience.

Almost 15 years after the release and the vision lacking douces at Nintendo still couldn't make this game's camera controlled with right stick alone.

You need to press L1...

Sigh.

Developers need elitist artists beside them.

Or better, people who know what UX means or how human brains operate would be enough. No need for artists.

Remember, Nintendo knew about camera controller issues and they dont care about it. If they dont fixed it then I am not getting one. Thats my rules. :)

If you enable motion controls, you can move the cameta freely with the right stick only, without needing to press L1.
Still though, I'd much rather prefer to play with buttons only, so I find myself sing the targetting feature to put the camera behind Link, and only using L1 rarely.

I kow, I came here after Digital Foundry review, it's so counter intuitive. It's almost like aliens are trying to blend in with the humanity and they chose Nintendo headquarters as their base.

Whose brain can't comprehend that this game has more time with gameplay than fighting alone?

Watching this topic, hoping for this mod

Also, maybe something to let menus be controlled with the dpad?

...and maybe being able to switch menu screens with shoulder buttons?

Cannot fathom why they took out controls from the gamepad controls that are in the motion control scheme

I'll be watching too, a mod would be very welcome!

Currently playing through and it's not terrible.
Motion controls are decent, and button controls are passable when playing in handheld mode, but can definitely get confusing/awkward at times.

Update:

Just made it to the Lanaryu Mines and noticed a few more things:

1. 2 buttons go basically unused

Dpad left from what I can tell. plus the Dpad right being just the tutorial text that you'll never use again, once you understand the controls. Would be great to have had an extra button for item use, to make it less finicky. X is only used to speed up your loftwing until halfway through the game when you get the harp! Then it's dedicated to the harp, which is cool I guess, but it could have been treated like an item.

2. Item use sucks!

To switch items you hold the ZR for a moment to bring up the item wheel. I am constantly getting frustrated by the wheel coming up when I want to use an item, and getting stuck using an item when I want to bring up the wheel. *face palm... this could use some tweaking for sure. At the very least maybe a longer hold to get the wheel so there's less room for error.

3. Bug: Unable to jump across platforms if facing directly ahead:

I noticed when I first visited Eldin that I couldn't cross gaps, this was super confusing, it didn't make sense. So I kept trying, and discovered that it would let me jump gaps if the camera was at an angle but not if it was aimed straight ahead? WTF.

There are several jarring things like this in the game that make me pray for new players.

I wish that I can use button for sword, not thumbstick ugh...

Ugh at Zelda development team.

I think they were stuck since the game is built around the sword being directional.

I find it odd that they didn't come up with multiple control schemes though (besides the one two they gave us), or at least some customization.

its another shit lazy port, you wont get anymod as the right stick is to mimick the wiimote and its a very shit job at it.

but to the point, above request has already been done with cheat codes.

None of you are even aware of the Cheat Codes AMS and SXOS cheats/requests thread?

you can find codes I've made here, check here for other codes users have made, youll have to flick through the pages or search in that thread.

That is awesome @Spider-Man! This is definitely new to me, I don't typically cheat, very cool.

I see the infinite stamina cheat you listed.

Can you confirm if you've seen any cheats that affect the control scheme?

that cant be changed because nintendo have set right stick to replace the wiimotes point/click.

if it was to be possible it would have to be an actual mod to edit the game files.
