Small stats or big stats?

What I mean is, do you prefer to start your RPG game with small stats lile 10Hp and 5Mp, and then have to play the game for 10 hours before you can hit your opponent with a 100+ hit point or do you prefer to start with 1000Hp, 500Mp and buit up to crazy 99999 hit combo? For myself, I rather start really small, I think it makes it more rewarding. Bigger numbers makes it more confusing, but aslo more complex.

If only my mage could start with more then 7Hp

Small. I've noticed it seems to make games a little harder too when you have 32 HP and your enemies are hitting for 7 damage, as opposed to having 500 HP and enemies hitting for 13 damage whilst you one hit kill them.
