Hacking SNEEK+DI quick guide

I need help converting GameCube games to sneek format. I keep trying to use DiscEX but I just get this message every time I try "Can't open "GameCube game"" Help please.

Also the game is .gcm not .iso if that matters.

So I've got sneek to work and the DML menu pops up now, but when I try to select a GameCube game I push the A button on the game and nothing shows up on the disc channel.

Never mind my last post. The GameCube game shows up in the disc channel now, but when I try to launch it my Wii restarts.

EDIT: So now both of the games I have say 'invalid' at the end of their names. The games are Animal Crossing and Wind Waker. Do these games just not work with DML?

They work.

You either converted them wrong, or you got a bad ISO.

Sometimes I get this error when I try to run Animal Crossing "An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the game disc, and turn the power off."
Also, I made a dump of Luigi's Mansion and converted it and the game still didn't work. So I guess I'm converting the games wrong. I followed everything step by step though so I'm confused.

K, so I want to install HBC 1.07 and remove 1.08. I've read the guides and know how to install and then pack the wad and extract ticket for use in SNEEK. Silly but how do I safely/cleanly remove 1.08? To install HBC do I have to use Hackmii again?

Use the showmiiwad's pc program to remove the 1.08 and install the 1.07

It's confusing as it's in the sneek topics.
To my knowledge, the 1.07 installer will replace the 1.08 HBC on real nand.
Provide an alternative to launch your homebrew in case you need to deinstall the 1.08 first.
Postloader, Wiixplorer and Homebrew filter are valid candidates.
Make sure you have a channel to launch one of those directly.
The Hackmii program has an option to deinstall the HBC as well.
You can install on the emulated nand with the showmiiwads program.

How to install HBC 1.0.7 to SNEEK NAND

Guide:

1. Install HBC 1.0.7 on your real nand 3.2x-4.3x

2. Use WadCreator v1.1 to extract HBC.wad from you Wii.

3. dump real nand using bootmii

4. Open showmiiwads, go to "tools/extract Bootmii nand" and select your nand.bin

5. Go back to your VIRGIN Sneek nand, by selecting your sneek drive letter in "Options/Change NAND backup path"

6. Go to "View/ShowmiiNand"

7. Drag and Drop HBC.wad then at the bottom click "Install", and once installed close ShowmiiWads.

8. Then manually copy and replace your original Bootmii NAND/ticket/00010001/af1bf516.tik to Sneek NAND/ticket/00010001/af1bf516.tik

9. Your done. Test it on your Wii.

Thanks guys and yes, Zizer meister, I did mean real nand.... and of course read the posted guide on first post.
But...)
1. Have to uninstall 1.08 on real nand (I think TT says use Hacmii installer to uninstall HBC)
2. then use Hacmii 0.7b to reinstall HBC 1.07 and continue with guide instructions
3. Is this the best way and Bootmii will not be removed, right?

Why an exploit?
Run Hackmii from wathever homebrew launcher. Wiixplorer, Homebrew Filter, Postloader, Priiloader.
You will need the first 3 as a channel or channel forwarder.
I guess you can launch the 1.07 Hackmii from the 1.08 HBC as well.

My concern is that I've read all sorts of suggestions in doing my research...
some even say to just swap out the boot.dol on SD of 0.7 for 0.8!!!?? crazy
Anyway, I think I 'm supposed to uninstall 1.08. Once its gone, I dont think I can use the channels.

I would try to run the 1.07 hackmii from the 1.08 hbc and see if it's possible to install the 1.07 that way.
Provide a channel with one of the programs I suggested.
In case neither 1.07 or 1.08 might work (but this shouldn't be the case), you can run the 1.08 hackmii again from that
alternative method.
Instead of going trough all those trouble, you could use the homebrew filter program on your emulated nand.
It's open source now, so it will soon have usb access in neek.

Thank you both, very much. Note that HB Filter is not working correctly b/c 1.07 is NOT installed. This is why I want to reinstall it on real Nand and migrate it to emulated Nand. I can't install channels on my emulated nand without it. I can launch HB Filter but the apps freeze blackscreen. I believe that 1.07 should fix this prob.

Any last thoughts?

u could try using postloader to launch apps, or u can install forwarder channels to your emunand to launch common apps (or install\launch forwarder dols using priiloader)

Thanks, X, but this whole mess dates back to a prob I was experiencing in the summer. I can't seem to install channels with HBFilter b/c it blackscreens on me. I thought downgrading HBC and migrating it to Emunand might resolve that issue. There are bunch of channels and WiiWare that I'd like to install on Emunand but can't figure out how.
