On my vita 1000 - I remove the sony memory card once I'm done with yamr and copying all files to sd2vita and setting it as ux:0

Everything works perfectly till I leave the vita on sleep (even for just a few mins)

I get a the following error msg on wake and am forced to reboot

""The memory card has been removed.
Do not remove the memory card while this system is in use. If
you do, the data may become corrupt.
This system will restart""

once reboot's done its all fine and dandy till the next wake...

I guess somehow the vita keeps scanning for the sony memory on wake from sleep... any idea how to stop it from doing so?

This seems like your vita age " pretty old "

8 years?!

Don't tell me you want a $200 vita work around 20 years

It served you well....

The question wasn't "why's my vita failing" the question was "here's a software issue, if anyone has any idea lemme know"
you obviously don't - so what's your point here?
...apart from being a dick trying to talk down to someone who you think is trying to make an old console work! sheesh!!!

Read my post again mate... its not the system failing... if I have a card in, it works great - no issues - when I take the card out I get this error, which is fair cuz its a software thing...

I can recreate it on all vita oleds I have - I picked up a oled for a friend - I wanna jailbreak it and send it to him - I only have one memory card - I have ordered more but they arent gonna be here for a while

So given there are wasy to jailbreak an oled without a memory card - there should be some way to keep a jailbroken 1000 running w/o a memory card as well - at least that was the logic behind my question - hope that makes sense

I told you vita are dying

Any Sleep mode will cause memory card unable to read

Must restart console every time

The motherboard is dying...

Later you will find out any app can't not be launch

It also cause system restart...

No mate you are getting it wrong - lemme try to explain again...

ITS SOFTWARE because I can recreate this on multiple vita 1000s - EVERY Vita 1000 I have (I have 3 atm)
ITS SOFTWARE because with a card in the slot there are no issues whatsoever - game, sleep, wake... no reboots nothng!
ITS SOFTWARE because it only happens when coming out sleep - seems like its looking for a card and knows there isnt one... and throws up the error

Its not about the cards not being read, or a game causing a reboot - hope that makes sense

can you post how your tai/config.txt looks like?

i dont think its the vita dying, but SD card might be tho maybe or the sd2vita is not the best. because they are cheap stuff where its a lottery if you going to get a good one.

make it boot from the Sony memory card as default and test it like that, the sleep mode. its bit long but needs to be done.

Personally, I don't think it's the card cuz I just opened it fresh outta its packaging and its name brand (Lexar)
The sd2vita is something cheap from aliexpress but it has been running without issues for a year on another vita (a 2000 if it makes any difference)

As for issue... its just that one screen popping up on wake causing a reboot - apart from that, even if I am playing for a few hours straight - no error msgs at all... no random reboots of any kind...

Also - if I add the sony memory card back to this vita 1000 - I can sleep wake to my hearts content without any issues...

what I recommend it disable and enable all the plugins one by one and test them like that or get a 4gb Sony memory card and use it like that.

I know its a long process to disable and enable all the plugins. but needs to be done if you want to fix this error.

Try to disable PSVshell and replace 0syscall with reF00D. If it's not fixing the issue you can try disable iTLS and replace YAMT with storagemgr. You can try disable your QoL plugins too.
Like others said, it's a plugin problem or you need to put your sd2vita as ux0 if you didn't already did.

P.S you can disable your plugin by putting # at the start of the line

It's important for society to be healthy and educated. If those things can't happen because all of the institutions that prop up those industries make it unattainable for all but a small portion of society, then your society is largely going to be disease ridden, dying, and uneducated in very short order.

I agree it's not easy for the average American, let alone the ones below that average. Free / cheaper healthcare is much more important I think than free university education.
Of course like @mthrnite said, why not both. But I doubt both will get solved at once, and surely healthcare is top priority.
