You might see a few jaggies, THE GAME IS RUINED!!! /WiiCube_2013
Oh, wow. That is pretty awful. I see why people are disappointed now.The reviewer said that in some cases the frame rate dropped below 10 FPS which isn't good.
I don't get this at all though, aren't the ps4 and xbox1 almost equal in terms of power??
Weird, because before the release i kept on seeing stuff on IGN and Reddit that the 2 are using almost the same hardware (seems like, as usual, I get my info from websites that shouldn't be taken too seriously).Nope, the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox1, a significant amount more too.
Generic PEW PEW shooter with no single player, is what bothers me fuck the graphics.

Now, to translate this from technobabble to a language understandable to the average forum-goer, currently the game is Multisample Anti-Aliased which causes a significant hit on performance, however creates high-quality visuals. Yes, the game is 792p, but that doesn't mean that it's jagged, it features heavy Anti-Aliasing.Richard Barker said:"We've been experimenting with making it higher and lower. One of the big tricks is how much ESRAM we're going to use, so we're thinking of not using hardware MSAA [multisample anti-aliasing] and instead using FXAA [fast approximate anti-aliasing] to make it so we don't have to have this larger render target," (...) "We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimize... we don't want to give up anything for higher res. So far we're not 100 percent happy with any of the options, we're still working on it," (...) "For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship." (...) "there's still room for optimization and we're still working on it." (...) "We're still working to condense the systems, make them more parallel so we can hit 60 all the time, ideally"
They have hardware from the same families, but it's still customized. The XBox One's CPU frequency is higher (1.75 GHz on the XBox One versus 1.6 GHz in the PS4), it has a weaker GPU structure (12 + 2 dormant CU's in the XBox One versus 18 + 2 dormant CU's in the PS4 and 16 ROP units in the XBox One versus 32 ROP units in the PS4) and uses 8GB DDR3 RAM plus embedded 47MB on-die ESRAM while the PS4 uses 8GB GDDR5 RAM. On top of that you have the customized add-ons for each system. Both solutions have their pro's and con's, but the point is that they are different.Weird, because before the release i kept on seeing stuff on IGN and Reddit that the 2 are using almost the same hardware (seems like, as usual, I get my info from websites that shouldn't be taken too seriously).

To be fair single digit framerates go beyond the "jagged edges umplayable omg". I've seen someone play League of Legends at a constant 8FPS and while it can be done it's not pleasant at all.You might see a few jaggies, THE GAME IS RUINED!!! /WiiCube_2013
I know. I assume that they will have to lower the resolution below 792p in order to get a decent framerate, which could mean jaggies. To be fair single digit framerates go beyond the "jagged edges umplayable omg". I'd say they'll simply switch to FXAA (Anti-Aliasing the processed frame instead of individual models) or disable Anti-Aliasing altogether. They're not planning to lower the resolution. Either way, MSAA is going to be disabled in the game soon.Lead Engineer of the actual game said:"The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. It's on the Xbone so the point of "looking good" is moot. But ya fuck the FPS genre.I here ya brother! Games shouldn't look good and fuck those shootin' games! Stick it to the man dude.
As tempting as it is to drop the ol' SarcasticThumbsUpJenniferLawrence.gif, I do have to ask... why is the lack of a real single player bad? It's an online multiplayer shooter that focuses on being an online multiplayer shooter first and foremost. How is that anything but a good thing?
Would Team Fortress 2 be any better with a tacked-on campaign? Is Natural Selection 2 worthless without a contrived narrative and a string of QTEs?

Please shush now.
If you don't have a problem with paying the same price for less game that's you're decision. Single player is not a bonus mode it's the STANDARD since the dawn of gaming. You jump the gun big time by thinking this will be a one and done type of deal. Prepare for less and less single player.

You know what other games had no single player? Only some of the best titles in the genre, like Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Tribes, Team Fortress and so on - unless you count fighting bots in a glorified training mode as a story campaign, and not all of those even have that. If a game is strictly multiplayer-oriented, it doesn't require a single player campaign, period.AngryGeek416 said:*Silly Rhetoric*
Since when does One=3? Xbox One is the stupidest name ever.
