I think you can use old DS to trade in new DS lite.

The M3 MiniSD does stick out about 14mm in the DS Lite. In the DS Phat it shouldn't stick out more than a few mm.

The new M3 mini-SD coming out now doesn't stick out when inserted into DS Phat.
