From everything I have read it sounds like Taiyo Yuden DVD-R or Verbatim DVD-R are the way to go.

If you get Verbatim, make sure they are made in Singapore.

If you get Taiyo Yuden, make sure they are premium and TYG02 Media ID type that are made in Japan.

Correct me if I'm mistaken on that. I know all kinds of brands will work but I hear the lifespan is not good AND they damage your Wii laser, not sure how true that is. Better to be safe than sorry though.

I went with the Taiyo Yuden Premium Silver Thermal Lacquer 8X DVD-R Media (Premium Line) 100 Pack in Cake Box. The seller claims they are made in Japan and signs point to them being TYG02 media ID.

I just wanted to make sure I made the right investment
