With the new USB 2.0 drive coming soon, I was wondering if big HD files would be playable cuz I got a bunch in my external HDD. Currently, they buffer so much it is unwatchable.

Not sure. It might not just be a read speed issue, It might be that the Wii cannot process/decode those files fast enough.

If it's a read speed issue, then USB 2.0 would probably help (once the driver is improved).

depends no the video files, some codecs are "too hard" and cannot be decoded in real time and therefore cut up, happens in GeeXbox and MPlayerCE, extremely hard to fix, or even "lower" them some work to lower, some don't. which causes a problem..
