Wayforward Aliens DS game still coming!

Aliens: Colonial Marines, a Aliens based shooter by Gearbox is still being produced, and so is the DS version by Wayforward. While both versions are being made, neither are stated to release this year.

A video from the DS version leaked some months ago, showing a great looking 2D shooter that many were considering to be the spiritual successor to Contra 4. Unfortunetely, youtube removed the video

Cool. I can't say I've thoroughly enjoyed everything they've developed, but they definitely seem to have a greater focus on high quality these days.

Hmm, looks rather good.
I wouldn't say Contra 4, but it does kinda remind me of the ol Aliens VS predator arcade game by capcom, just minus the Y axis movement and with lots of more guns.

Good to see some GOOD movie based games for once in a long time.

Ghostbusters being a special case ofcourse.

Anyone else kinda miss the old earlier 3D Aliens games?
They were kinda memorable from when I was a kid.
I'd love to just see that old one ported to DS xD

I'm still gonna wait on news on this to unfold. Recently the head (i think it was that position) of Wayforward went on the record for saying Wayforward had no part in the game leaked.

Speaking of which, there was a YouTube video a few weeks ago. It was an Aliens: Colonial Marines DS game. According to the video description, it was a WayForward title that had been cancelled by Sega.

I can tell you that that was nothing that we put out, and there was no project cancelled by Sega for any reason.

Edit: Just re-read the article. They technically opened up the possibility of them still working on the game.
