Ive heard that among all gamecube game, the one that was the hardest to emulate was TP, so thats why

It's been fixed though, HLE audio is nearly perfected in Dolphin, shy of the Rogue Squadron games.
Meet Factor 5, the company that has been keeping Dolphin on its toes since it's conception lol

They did some absolutely insane things with the N64 and Gamecube, pushing both consoles beyond every single other developer. That's saying something.

Rogue Squadron 2 pushes upwards of 20 million polys/second with full lights and texturing.

Im not sure to understand what you mean

Factor 5 pushed the Gamecube to the limits, doing insane programming with the hardware. Emulating it is a nightmare.

Undocumented microcode, which has to be reverse engineered. Their games are the hardest to emulate bar none. Forgot TP, this has it beat.

actualy rogue squadron 3 holds the generation record of most oplys on the screen even beating the best xbox game and the xbox was quite abit more powerfull xD.

factor five codders were insane, its a shame they never made a full AAA studio with their own ips, but every game from them is groundbreaking even the buggy ones like indiana jones on the n64 what they made the n64 do is insane imo.

Both RS2 and RS3 are very hard to emulate on Dolphin, didn't know it pushed an even higher poly count.

Considering the fact that the Wii U can run Wii games and NDS games why wouldn't the Switch be able to pull it off? Wii U and 3DS games is another league though. The NDS games might need some tweaking because the Switch only has one screen but it seems doable to me.

The Wii U can run Wii games simply because it can run the Wii OS as would make since considering both are built on the same CPU Arch, and as for NDS games, that console isn't much of a stress for the Wii U to emulate hell the Wii could unofficially run (Although At Slow Speeds) NDS games through DeSmuME, but the Switch isn't built on the same Arch so it can't run either OS, and therefor it can't run the games made for it natively without virtual emulation, or having the game code ported by the devs like MK8 was to the Switch

Ok guys, let's get realistic.

3DS - Playable, but it will take 2-3 years to get Citra working on ARM.
GCN - Depends on the game, most should be playable.
Wii - No.
PS2 - Slow. A few games might be playable
PSP - Decent, 90% of games should run

Can you stop acting like you're uber pros that have omniscious knowledge of wether or not X console will get an emulator despite obviously not knowing anything about it ?

I mean, we pretty much know the performance level since it's a downclocked Tegra X1.

And you can basically forget PS2 and 3DS for a long time because they are not on ARM.

3DS - Playable, but it will take 2-3 years to get Citra working on ARM. I could see a 3DS emu for Android devices faster than on the switch.
GCN - Depends on the game, most should be playable. Based on the hardware we know, more than playable
Wii - No. Beefed up GC,of course games like Mario Kart Wii and NSBW should get up and running at full speed but yes Wii would definitely be playable
PS2 - Slow. A few games might be playable If an emulator did come out, probably slow for a long time, ps2 emulation is barely seen on anything but a PC or sonys official ps2 emu
PSP - Decent, 90% of games should run
Yep basically but with games like God of War getting below full speed

guys, jokes aside.

i read some of you saying it will easily emulate NGC/Wii.

i would like to ask whether you think we will be able to use the joycons as controls for the NGC games, and perhaps detached for wii games?

more crious about NGC , you guys think we can play NGC in handheld mode with the joycons?

and last question, will we be able to use our Save states we made within our WiiU's vWii on the switch ?
