Doesn't work for me either.
Installed IOS38, IOS53, IOS55 that are on the disc.
Tried booting normally, and through Gecko OS with Japanese language forced. Both failed.
Am using Wiikey with 3.2U.

Anyone else had any luck?

Had someone tried the easy way (wiifree+brickblocker)?
Otherwise i'll try it later.

I think someone must check if it works on a fully updated Japanese-Wii with modchip, just to see if isn't a region issue or some kind of conflict with updates (maybe it needs a completly newer update?, and not just the IOS wads?).

Ok, i checked some chinesse forums, and with the help of google translator I read that a lot of people can play it on their (J) Wii's...

Not so sure (because of the horrible translation) but it seems they manage to run it by installing IOS53 ... and for some others the game ran fine with 3.3J. They seems to be using Wiikey 1.9g/s.

I'll wait for some news about #002.

Yep, seems some can't get it working with IOS53 and some others do.

Can't post the website, but here are some responses using google translator:

Dunno exactly.

Sure, if we could have the unscrubbed one, we can try. But atm..

Nope, sorry... just posting what I'm reading at forums heh. I still don't have the ISO

So i'm still waiting to see if someone can get it working.

Anyway... seems Gecko Os and Backup Launcher 0.3 always going to give you the #002 Error, doesn't matter if you have IOS installed. So the only way to get it working would be with the disk channel (modchip). And BTW, florian, try installing also the IOS53.

Gonna grab it and see if i can test it myself.

Cheers for all the info guys

The only difference I noticed after installing the IOS was that before in the disc channel the game would just boot to a black screen, where as after it would boot to a green screen.

GeckoOS gives an 002 error before and after ISO installation.

I also checked out animal crossing (US & JPN versions) and both are working fine, so the IOS installed correctly.

The only version floating around is scrubbed isn't it? So I think those people that got it working were using the scrubbed version also.
Also, all the people that got it working are using NTSC-J machines so far right? So I guess it must be a region issue, or a brickblocker/starfall issue....or wasn't there a program that you can use to make the game look for a different system menu or something? Anyone remembers what's that called and I'll test with that.
