Hey everyone! I have a problem and was redirected here by a friend who said gbatemp has a very helpful community, im hoping to get some help. Im having troubles installing plugins for Wiiflow (running latest Wiiflow) Ive basically tried everything, my problem is, im not quite sure where to put the .dol, .ini, and .ogg files... Ive tried putting them in root/wiiflow/plugins, but everytime i do that, Wiiflow crashes as soon as i get to the emuflow. I do have a working source_menu that i downloaded here (mastershoes one) Can anyone help me out...

Thanks so much.

Edit: Im also running a 1TB External HD. 1st partition consist of fat32@150GB and second partition WBFS@ 750GB. Basically i want to run my roms off my fat32 partition which is first...

Edit 2: I haven't done the full D2XV8 Final wads installation... Would that be a possible issue?

Having the same exact problem on a sd. Roms in the root:/fceugx/roms/ - Plugins in the root:/wiiflow/plugins/.
Installed dx2-v8. Whenever I click on the Nintendo controller in Wiiflow, the Wiiflow logo shows for a second then the Wii restarts. Does anyone have any tips of screenshots of their sd file structure? Thanks.

I've had this issue over the past few weeks now. I've been trying to troubleshoot it on my own, but now I'm out of ideas on how to fix this. I had wiiflow plugins working 100%, with box covers and everything, and then after I upgraded wiiflow a few weeks ago, wiiflow crashes and exits to the system menu anytime I select plugins (clicking on the NES controller icon), or as soon as I access Source Menu by pressing B.

I'm running latest version of wiiflow: 4.0.1
Latest plugins pack: 5.7

I've tried clean installs off of both USB (FAT32) and SD. I've also tried installing each plugin one at a time, wiiflow still always crashes when I select plugins. My filenames & directories are all accurate as far as I can tell.

Here's my wiiflow.ini. It's from my latest clean install running off of SD:

Just tried 4.0.2 r708. Same results.

I feel like there's something obvious that I'm overlooking here. Appreciate the help though!

Now that my Wii will soon be retired to make room for the Wii U I've decided to get these things in order myself.

I ran into the same issue. It's most likely your theme.

Maybe it's because emus use custom box shapes I dunno, but when you try to use an old theme and enter the plugins/emulator section wiiflow will crash!

I've got a very old theme (that was made to look like the stock wii interface) that I use and it was giving me trouble on upgrade.... the cache wouldn't update properly, random crashes... and wiiflow would restart my wii when I entered the plugins section. I switched to the orchid theme (which ironically is a pretty old version as well) and it went in there just fine, as well as fixing my cache.

I'm going to take one of the recently updated themes that *almost* look like the stock wii interface and update those... hopefully it will fix the issue.

Which leads me to ask for a feature request. It would be really nice if wiiflow would generate a template theme.ini complete with fake image names. It's a mess with all of the settings buttons and the fact that every few revisions a new button is added. Although full control is certainly nice, I would also suggest simplifying the theme.ini for the settings. We don't need an individual entry for every single button in wiiflow, as I see it, you really only need:

[settings/text1]
[settings/text2]
[settings/text3]
[settings/text4]

[settings/button1]
[settings/button2]
[settings/button3]
[settings/button4]

[settings/larrowbtn1]
[settings/larrowbtn2]
[settings/larrowbtn3]
[settings/larrowbtn4]

[settings/rarrowbtn1]
[settings/rarrowbtn2]
[settings/rarrowbtn3]
[settings/rarrowbtn4]

[settings/marrowbtn1]
[settings/marrowbtn2]
[settings/marrowbtn3]
[settings/marrowbtn4]

In other words, you only have 4 lines of left-justified text followed by either 4 arrow buttons or standard buttons. Wiiflow should probably just use universal settings for all of these and it can automatically pick and choose if it needs a arrow button or a standard one. That would reduce the bulk/complexity of themes dramatically. Just a thought.
