Hacking Would developper tools allow to play pirated games?

If one had an xb1 in developper mode, and had full access developper tools, could one play pirated games that way? Asking for a friend.

Short answer no, long answer nooooo. As far as i know there arent even Xbox one games in the wild. There is no possible way atm to reach that certain point with an Xbox One or X consoles. Most Xbox One or X games are also avalaible on pc's except the exclusive ones.

Developer mode runs in a sandbox and doesn't have full access to the hardware. So there's no way unless someone figures out a way to escalate privileges and break out of said sandbox (not likely any time soon)

Devs don't play pirated copies, they play development copies.
Anyway, this is not how it works, one has to escape the sandbox before one can play pirated media.
In other words, one needs an exploit or hack to achieve that.
