Got my freaking bag stolen

I was at a gaming arcade (CHQ Metrotown, Burnaby, BC, Canada), I put down my bag right next to the machine because it was heavy and someone grabbed it and ran away.

Lost:
Name brand bag (black/grey)
Blue PSP Phat + 16GB legit MSPD
Black NDSL + AK2 + 1GB microSD
Sony earphones
Umbrella
Puppy doll pencil case with stationary
2 bottles of Powerade

Totalling over $700 worth of stuff (when I bought them)

Since it's too costly to buy them again (even just the machines), I'm gonna quit DS and PSP gaming.

If you see someone bragging about acquisition of a bag with above contents on the web please let me know.

My friend's bag got stolen and he had a macbook pro in it. His bag had belongings probably worth up to $3000.

Sorry to hear that :(

Ask around some trade-in stores near the arcade, they might spot it coming in. Serial numbers might help (if you haven't got them written down they're usually printed on a sticker on the original box if you've got that.). A bright blue PSP is gonna be pretty hard to miss.

As for the police report it anyway, you've got nothing to lose. An arcade's bound to have cameras watching the machines (maybe), and if they catch the tosser it stops him doing it to someone else. Sometimes they can recover stuff from pawn shops, etc, don't get your hopes up too high or anything but it can't hurt to try.

Aren't most arcades incredibly dark? And I'm sure whoever stole it was probably either wearing a cap or a hood, in which case CCTV is useless because most places don't know how to angle the goddamn cameras.

If you don't tell the cops you had pirated content on your game consoles, they won't think you did. They'll just think it's a normal game console.

why the hell can't some people be more thoughtful? i mean i only got about £45 worth of stuff stolen from me but for you >.< i just hope you get your stuff back eventually. I mean the other day in college, a guy's ipod nano dropped out his pocket. I've wanted one for ages! still i picked it up, called him over and gave it back (my friends told me off XD) i guess some people cant be assed to pay for things >.< good luck for finding your stuff!

I hate that you lost your DS and PSP... I've never lost a system (or even a game) myself, but my sibling had a DS stolen, and hasn't played a DS game since. :(

Look at the bright side... At least you'll have more free time now...? :unsure:

That sucks. Theives are arseholes, I hope you find this guy and give him his just desserts (we have this thing in NI called 'kneecapping', it works well), and as it is unlikely that you will find the guy, I hope you at least get your stuff back.

I'm very sorry for what you have passed. I recomend you, aniway, to go to The police and report this. You won't lose anything doing it, and maybe you'll find what you have lost. I hope you'll find your things, and if you don't, you can start all over again. I know it's hard, but it will be fun, and you'll remember good times.

metrotown area is known to have a lot of crime. remember the recent bomb scare?
and my friends bag was stolen and thrown in the trash in a library near there. he got it back, but nothing was stolen (cause there was mostly textbooks in there) lol :blink:

anyways at this point theres nothing much u can do...unless if youre very lucky they have security cameras in the mall and the arcade place where your bag was stolen, they could identify him carrying your bag?

It was either Ninty or Sony who sent that thief to steal your bag that contained a DS and PSP, each with pirated games. :ph34r:

Bring some legal weapons next time, an umbrella works just fine it is effective as a bludgeoning tool of course if you have an old one with sharp steel edges you can cause a little damage and pain if you manage to connect using the inside of the umbrella. Also a little pepper spray works as well.

im so sorry to hear that. a week ago my ipod touch 2g 32 gb got stolen in my bag also the ear phones were plugged in but they didnt take that? and my ds was there didnt take it just the stylus lol and they took my macbook and m wallet 2000$ worth of stuff in 1 bag

God that sucks. The only thing that someone has stolen from me is pokemon gold. Man I got pissed. Hope you get your stuff back!~

This kid stole my GBA in 2nd grade wow long time ago and then gave it back to me like in 5th grade saying he found it.
