So the lady I was living with was (non-physically) abusive. Whenever she got drunk she'd be up until the sun rose, yelling at anybody around her. This was generally a "1-3 times a week" issue, and I spent last night with the bedroom door locked as she screamed at me from the other side, barely able to hold herself up (I was the only other person home last night, so I was the only one available for her to yell at). Having to stay in a locked room and being unable to sleep because of that... that's not the way a house should run.
So as soon as she passed out I packed up all my shit (and the kittens), set it in the front yard (and sat on a box), and waited for my dad to get back from his appointment (because he's got the car).
So we're in a hotel for a week until we can find a place the stay for a while. Important point of this blog? No wifi in the hotel. So, outside of tethering off a phone now and then, I'll be on sporadically, if at all.
As for the kittens, this place doesn't allow pets, so the cats are staying with my neighbor/friend. Our families have known each other for years (the guy and I grew up together) and they seemed happy to be able to play with some kittens for a week (and the momma', but they live across the street so it's not like she'll be disoriented), they have some pets already, etc. One of their cats recently died (cat was like 13, I was in middle school with the guy when they got that one), so I'm fully expecting them to reserve one of the kittens (either the orange or the black).
Anyways, I'll be spending my free time with things like that pirated anime collection or a bunch of steam games, so you'll just have to deal without me butting into every situation and telling everybody they're wrong at every topic imaginable until I get back.
