My most recent blood test results that I'm kind of unhappy about, and my solution

Today, I got in the mail my blood test results, after having one last month. I apparently have forgotten about last year's results, so I needed to do a comparison (full version not shown for privacy purposes):
The primary differences lie in my triglycerides, HDL (high-density lipoprotein), LDL (low-density lipoprotein), and cholesterol. In part due to COVID-19 forcing us to stay at home more often, and me graduating this summer (I don't have to walk between buildings since March actually), I have become more sedentary than normal, possibly stereotypically (but my closest physical friend, is often sedentary when he isn't working, especially given that he is also a gamer like me). While my triglycerides lowered, my LDL and cholesterol increased, and my HDL decreased, making me kind of worried about my future health. :ohnoes: See, sometimes I exercise, in part with the help of certain video games on my CFW/Atmosphere-loaded Nintendo Switch (only Jump Rope Challenge for now, but not done every day; maybe I should increase how often I play this game). Unfortunately, I think that I just might not be doing enough per day, even while staying at home! Because of the computer work I do every day, including my personal projects, I often don't make much time for actual exercise, except for when my mom calls me to take a walk with her.

My next solution? I heard about Ring Fit Adventure, and thought I could get a good workout with this game, but unfortunately, I learned that the Ring-Con accessory required to play this game isn't a simple plastic ring that I could replicate with at-home materials. The Ring-Con contains special electronics loaded with sensors that interface with a Joy-Con, that this game reads data from; definitely not something I can DIY with at-home materials! :( The $79.99 cost of a new Ring Fit Adventure package, including the physical cartridge, and Ring-Con, is currently out of my reach (based on necessity, and cost). $20 more than a standard 1st-party Nintendo Switch game, most of which I can install and play without additional accessories via CFW.

Unless I commit myself to more physical exercise (and sacrificing more computer time to make room), I really hate it when I'm forced to make some unhealthy choices due to being low on money (such as eating more junk food instead of fruits and vegetables just because the former are cheaper than the latter, but this is just an example). I wish I could combine exercise and video games more often for better motivation, but I guess my only choice to suck it up when I'm low on money (I have access to more, but my mom doesn't allow me to use it for whatever too often).
(I'll be making another forum topic asking about how I can play Ring Fit Adventure without having to buy additional hardware, assuming that I have gotten the game via XCI or NSP, later on)

23 and worrying about such data that is within reasonable ranges?

I would certainly encourage all to have physical fitness, pending some glorious future tech then exercise and eating right going massively towards that.

Do you have some particular reason to worry?

Well, the reason that I worry is because my mom and sister have also taken blood tests, and some of their values (the cholestrol, HDL, and LDL) are generally better than my values. Though a few of their values are worse than mine, it's a sign that:
  • My sleep habits may need changing. After having stayed up overnight during college usually to finish school assignments, now is a good opportunity for me to revert my circadian rhythm to become less of a night owl. It's not easy to go back, unfortunately, since it lasted for at least 4 years.
  • I should allocate more of my time for exercise. I'm starting to get there, but the work I often do on computers involves me as a solo developer. I wish I had more people helping me, so that I could spend more on this and other offline activities.
  • I may have to reduce how much animal meats with saturated fat and junk carbohydrates I eat. This is the easiest thing I can do, as it merely involves that I avoid buying certain foods entirely, instead opting for alternatives.

    i use a mac, so I just leave time machine running, not real sure how to back up on a windows box
