Sorry for Nintendo

Do you ever feel bad for Nintendo? Nintendo was always against piracy. They didn't use CDs on the N64 because they were afraid of piracy. They used uncommon DVDs to protect against piracy for the Gamecube. They finally launch a console with a regular format and BOOM! backup loader. I feel sorry for them. Oh well Im going to go play my "backup" of Samba De Amigo.

They can survive for years, even if the DS and the Wii all of a sudden stopped selling.

The best console years of Nintendo is when their system was easily pirated...
This still stands strong on the handheld market.

You call that BOOM! Backup Loader? The Wii has been out since the end of 2006, and now (september 2008) there is a softmod. They didn't do too bad...

They didn't use CDs on the N64 because they were afraid of piracy?
Or was it because they where not willing to pay the license fees to Philips for it and make an extra buck?

Nintendo employees can get paid with salary until they die even if they don't sell anything.

Nintendo will learn a lot from this hopefully, not that they'll ever be able to stop piracy, but things will get better for everyone basically.

i dont really feel sorry for them cos they are making hell lots of money. For example if nintendo earns about 1 million bucks a day from people who buy their games from ALL OVER the world, they would earn about 7 million a week, thus 28 million in a month, thus 336 million in a year!! :wacko: So theres nothing much to pity them about, really. :rolleyes:

Being from Croatia I'd say fuck 'em.

Since their policy is that anyone outside their very narrowly defined "maximum profit" zone can go screw themselves, it is my policy to tell them they can screw themselves back.

I don't feel sorry for them at all. They've had the same price for Nintendo DS/Lite here in Sweden all the time and the same price all the time for Wii as well, they're greedy bastards.

A big company like nintendo can survive from piracy, i know ALOT of people that would have no idea at all about modding a ds or wii. Also it seems alot of people taht have modded consoles still buy alot of games, Shane R Monroe from the team cyclops forums afaik has like 100 games or something and he still owns a cyclods

Its Nintendo's Fault to take 3 EXTRA MONTHS to put a F**king SD card slot in front of the wii, In FRONT! its as if they were saying, "go ahead, we put a sd card slot! go ahead and hack away!" i know it was mentioned to save your data and photots and stuff though

I do feel sorry for nintendo...but at the same time...

Fuck'em :grog:
