That happened here some years ago :(

I was in the middle of the city, and suddenly *bam* everything goes off. For something like 2 hours

46 degrees?!?! If you stay outside for longer than an hour, you WILL die. :| If you lose water without drinking more you will also die.

This IS global warming I swear. Much colder winters and much hotter summers. The snow was a rarity in the UK 2 years ago but now it's a common occurence even in february and march! I fear the weather will be so intense in 5 years time that we will have to live indoors with windows and doors locked and ice on the floor and all sorts :/

46 degrees now though..

Here is a gentle 18 degrees according to my laptop which is arctic compared to yours :/

I wish it'd go to 46 degrees here so my damn pool would warm up.
We filled it and the weather went from scorching to "LOL RAAAAAIN" for the past 2 days.

Though...46 degrees would eventually kill me. That's just brutal.

I don't think it has ever been that bad here... Worst I can remember is around 35°C (that would be in my room with the computer on).

Actually DeadLocked, if you look back over the last couple of centuries or we quite often get snaps in the winter climate like we have been seeing just recently. Although some some people don't see (or just refuse to believe in the frequency) britain does have quite a history of very cold and high snowfall winters.

As for the idea of global warming, that would mean we have much milder winters. The problem over the last few years has been a ridge of high pressure weather moving down from the north pole and the moist air ( we usually get pushed up from france) blocking the westerly front bringing the milder weather. If your intrested some big freezes we have had are 1991,1963, 1953, 1947 (the coldest February ever), 1940. im pretty sure there is a documentry on 4oD some where about it too.

Shit a BRICK that's hot! We don't know that sort of hot here in the UK...

Be careful cuz you can die easily in that heat! And don't leave your dog in a car with no window open!

Those of you talking about global warming have been suckered into some government propaganda as global warming is a natural phenomenon. The planet will sort it out with an ice age. It will start with lots of volcanoes erupting which fills the atmosphere with CO2 and other 'greenhouse' gasses, so much so that the sunlight won't be able to penetrate it, thus cooling the planet. It will end in a similar way, with an eruption of some sort, and heat will filter out from the planets core, and the shorelines will start to move again, melting the ice and creating counter-effective gasses to fill the atmosphere. When the atmosphere is thin enough, sunlight can get through and life on earth can start again. It's been going on for millions of years....

Sorry for the slightly inaccurate science lesson...

I personally really hate the heat, I can't stand it when it's really hot (unless I'm on holiday  it's wierd) but at home if it's too hot I start to feel ill :(

75° F here in New York City. Its usually hotter but today its a little colder.
